What is Wood Badge?

A fun, exciting, and action-packed program designed to provide members with leadership skills and experiences they can use in their home units and in other situations demanding leadership of self and others.  Wood Badge incorporates the latest leadership ideas and presents fresh, vital and meaningful training for today’s Scouters.  The Wood Badge course teaches the best in modern leadership theories in the context of traditional scouting activities. Dynamic presentations and videos help keep your attention focused on learning while providing hands-on opportunities to apply what you’ve learned and gain confidence in your abilities.

Who is eligible for Wood Badge?

  • Any Scouter currently registered with the Boy Scouts of America who has completed the basic leadership training for their registered position.
  • The Wood Badge experience is ideal for training unit leaders. It can also be a valuable experience for use in the workplace.
  • A scouter considering this course should have the enthusiasm and desire to participate in this fun and valuable learning experience.
  • It is a great Scouting experience that is recognized worldwide…Come and join us!

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

When/Where:  

Weekend One: March 22-24, 2024, at Engelstad Scout Park at the Donald W. Reynolds Scouting Resource Center, 7220 Paradise Rd. Las Vegas, NV 89119

Weekend Two: April 6-7, 2024, at Floyd Lamb Park 9200 Tule Springs Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89131

Check in on first day is 7:00am and check out on last day is 5:00pm 

 

Participant Forms

Participants will need the following forms for the Wood Badge Course.  Please check back often as updates will be made regularly.

Boy Scout Annual Health and Medical Record Form  (All participants will need to complete this form complete with doctors signature with one year of participation.)

Uniform Inspection Sheet  (use this form to determine what uniform you will need for the course)
