Parents appreciate this. Kids love it.
And our community has an opportunity to be a part of it.
Each year, the Boy Scouts of America organizes events that reach not only to our members, alumni, and their families, but also to those that live in our community. These events range from those that appeal to anyone looking for excitement, such as our annual Mega Scout Expo, to targeted events that support specific BSA programs.

CITY OF NORTH LAS VEGAS NEEDS HELP!
Craig Ranch Regional Park postponed until Aug. 28
We received an SOS from the City of North Las Vegas. They need volunteers to help at their Slides, Rides, and Rock and Roll event this week on Saturday, 6/19. Please see the event details below. If any of your scout troops are interested, please reach out to the contact below. We are trying to recruit some groups for them too. Thanks in advance for your assistance.
The City of North Las Vegas’ annual Slides, Rides & Rock and Roll Event is just around the corner at Craig Ranch Regional Park. This kickoff to summer event is scheduled for Saturday June 19 from 12:00 – 10:00 p.m, and features 20+ water slides, a classic car show and multiple food and beverage vendors.
The City is looking for various teams/ organizations/ groups to assist with the operation of these slides. Your organization would be responsible for providing between 2-4 volunteers that would staff the slide for the entire day (12:00pm – 8:00pm). For each slide that you can commit to sponsoring, you will receive between 6-12 free slide wristbands, dedicated parking, and the ability to provide a banner from your organization at that slide.
This event is a very visible event for your group; we saw over 10,000 people in 2019 (cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic). We would love for your group to market your association and the service you are giving to the community with a banner or matching shirts. With your help, we can continue to bring this awesome event to our community!
If you are willing to help and serve, please call or email Recreation Coordinator Josh Clevenger at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at (702) 633-2555.
