ONLINE RECHARTERING

Rechartering can be done from your home or office anytime that it’s convenient for you. The Unit Charter Renewal System UCRS allows a unit to indicate returning members, add new members, and update information for an individual or the chartered organization.  On-line rechartering ensures that unit and member information will be correct because the unit will be completing the renewal information.

UNIT CHARTER RENEWAL TUTORIAL SYSTEM

To learn more about how Internet Rechartering system works, take the interactive Internet Rechartering tutorial or consult the Internet Rechartering Help Page.

UNIT REPRESENTATIVE COMMITMENT

Each unit must select a representative that will be responsible for the recharter process and commit to coordinating the efforts with unit leadership and the chartered organization so that the process will be completed before the unit’s expiration date. The paperwork is done online from a home or office, anytime that it’s convenient.

ACCESS TO THE UNIT CHARTER RENEWAL SYSTEM (UCRS)

Your unit’s recharter packet has the access code to the Unit Charter Renewal System (UCRS) printed on the front of the envelope. This code should be shared with the unit representative selected to handle the recharter process.

UNIT CHARTER RENEWAL PROCESS

The unit representative should attend the district recharter training conducted in each district. This training will teach the steps in the on-line process and share tips on how to recharter without any paperwork errors. The renewal processor will receive current information on changes from previous years. When the online process is completed, the renewal processor prints the completed charter renewal application and has the unit leader and the executive officer sign the charter renewal application.

CHARTER TURN-IN DAY

The signed recharter packet along with the JTE Unit Award form should be turned in at the district’s charter turn-in meeting. Each district will provide multiple opportunities for completed signed recharter paperwork to be turned into district volunteers for review and acceptance if all steps and paperwork are completed.  The best opportunity insure all recharter paperwork is complete is to take advantage of the district turn-in day.
